Travelling The Amazigh ‘Corridor’

The Amazigh people - formerly known as the Berber - make up a significant proportion of Morocco’s population. In their own language Amazigh means “free people”. To explore the presence of this ancient culture in modern-day Morocco, the photographer made a 2000 kilometre journey from the Atlantic coastline, through the Middle Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert.

Photographed in medium format.
